This painting celebrates my thirty-year-old Bean boots, worn in many a Maine storm. They're amazing boots, a credit to old L.L.'s ingenuity.

This work continues a tradition begun by Van Gogh's painting of old boots, which he found at a Paris street fair. 

The painting hangs in my dining room. It is now available as a limited edition giclée print (see my Giclée Print Collection).
